Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars.
(Preview)
Started watching this series on Quest as the subject obviously appealed. I don't know if the first 7 seasons were on different subjects but season 8 is where I started. Episode 1, Jensen Interceptor. A must watch for me as I've always loved them but, needless to say, well out my price range. Anyway, a c...

Peerless Reg. No. XMY381
(Preview)
Had an interesting online chat on Gumtree with a gent from whom I bought some car related tools. I had mentioned I was working on a TR3 engine (hence the need for his carb balancer) and he wrote back to ask if I'd ever heard of a Peerless as he had one in the early '80's. This required further investigation....

Woolies screen rubber - R606 or R399?
(Preview)
As I'm just about to get the front and rear screens fitted, I thought I'd check back to get the correct product code for the rubber and just ended up confused. Back in 2007 Flash Frank said it should be R606 (with either the chrome or black infill). In 2014, Frank suggests R399, again with the infill of yo...

Gathering dust or gathering momentum?
(Preview)
What, if anything, kicks your Peerless out of its garage overnight? Happened to me today. Cant reveal the answer immediately, but I will and it involves another Peerless. The dust on the bodywork tells the tale of parking up late last year and then not using it until I realised the dust had taken hold be...

Mark over across the pond,( Good Yank) Just a simple old car lover and tinkerer, I have been meaning to introduce myself as Nigel suggested awhile back. I bought a 1959 Peerless GT that was modified (unfortunately) last May 2021- we can not find out which correct number it is - I believe from everythin...

I had an interesting and somewhat amusing chat with my local (railway) station master just recently. Having turned up late in the evening at this rather small station, I parked beside a very nice Bentley Continental GT which I had regularly seen in the same place. I (wrongly) assumed it belonged to th...
