New website

Yes folks if you are reading this then you have already come across our all new website.

Please take the time to have a look around and see what you think....

We were trying to make it appealing to the novice/mildly interested/just seen one and wondered what it was people out there.

if you have any queries, ideas or extra info that we can use please send me a pm or use my direct email on the contacts page and of course there's a link to our Facebook page toowink

We have on going conversations with The Slough Trading Estate Archive, Jaguar Heritage & Rev's Institute for more info and photos in the future.

A lot of work has gone into this over the last six of months and I have been lucky to have the support of Duncan Trigg and Jim Bolinger and photos from William, Erik and Mike.

However, THE biggest thanks must go to Adam who has taken my "ideas and wants" and has developed this into, what I think, is a really fresh but period style site. Thanks mate and yes, you can send me your invoice now!!

Hello Nigel,

Just had a stroll through the new website and have to thank you, Adam and all the contributors for their top effort.

Plenty of beers and Milky Bars for you all in Malvern!

Well done and thank you.

Gary

Spend about 10 minutes flipping through and gave a thorough read of the "HISTORY" section and only have two comments:

1) WOW!!!!

2) THANK YOU NIGEL AND TEAM!!!!!!!

First class job on a major project. I know I have many more hours of reading ahead.

I can only agree with that.

Absolutely love the Phase 2 folder color scheme that is used through the new website.

Also great pictures, especially the color picture of the two prototypes, stunning!

Thanks everyone for your effort!

Hi Nigel,

looks really nice and easy to navigate now.

I guess, a lot of effort spent to set it up.

Regards Guido

Hi All,

Thanks for all the comments, there will inevitably be amendments etc along the way but at least its up and out there and looking professional.

It also works on mobiles a lot better than it did.

When I'm over the shock of all this we will attempt to bring the forum more up to date too.

A long overdue update, and very well done.  Congrats Nigel and support team.  Love Duncan's bit, more please!

A minor suggestion.

The spares page needs more detail.

Claimed "Available" really isn't sufficient without

From....  Suppliers details, contact no, website, etc

Part no... Or unique description, if it's off another car

Price....  Essential! For the penny pinchers.

Date of entry....   I know some parts are made in batches, and some contact personnel move on, but stale info is useless.

And please, regularly review and update all content.  Don't leave it as long as the last time.

Frank

Bit late in heaping praise on the new website but, wow, what a difference.

Great job.

Well done to all involved.

 Hi Frank,

I'll take you to task on your "minor suggestion".

IF I were to put all the contact details etc for all the parts offered on the spares page I would probably have no contact from new owners/restorers at all, hence the very easy option added so they can just click and ask the question and in doing so we get to find and help more potential new members. Also I hope it will slow down the armchair modifiers that constantly get in touch to ask, nay demand, that I sell them a chassis, body and glass and they'll fit their own BMW/Lexus/Ford ST/Toyota Yaris engine/electric motor/propane cylinder/mouse on a treadmill.....

Part numbers and/or unique descriptions can be found on the "wotsit off "page as always on the forum.

https://peerless-gt.activeboard.com/t51779535/wotsitoff-the-original-website-list/

Pricing. Yes I take this on board and I will (where we can) add prices etc. Although for the glass it seems it changes (for the worse) every time someone comes on to moan about it!

The main reason that there was no updating of parts supply/costs/reports/news etc previously was due the original site not being accessible. Jon built the old site on a free package that was given away when boarding the Ark and the last known laptop to hold the program went bang some time ago.

And don't forget, all this information and entertainment is free of charge smile
