Wow, cracking article Gary, superb coverage of a real class act. After the dissapointment of the Motors TV coverage Celia and Ian deserved some good copy. Maybe a few more people will start to notice these cars now.
(Your copy is in the post Eric) We must get Celia to tell us about that special green and white Le-Mans radiator accessory.
That is a very special wind deflector, patent pending !! I>E> a french cardboard box put on at Le Mans to channel air down to the engine, it worked so well we are keeping it there !
We need more details on the wind deflector. Any racing options are very much needed.
I race a Warwick GT in the states and have been following your reports with great interest. I have been trying to find a copy of Classics Monthly over here also. I was able to find last Oct. issue that featured Alan's Warwick prototype but would really like to see pictures of your racing Peerless.
Good to hear you're racing over in the States. The " wind deflector" is believe it or not an opened cardboard box that is wedged over the top of the radiator to deflect the air into the engine and not straight up into the bonnet ! It was put there at Le Mans, and proved so useful that we have left it there ever since !!
Please get in touch, our e-mail is epona@hotmail.co.uk and we will send you some photos. It would be good to hear how your racing is going, and what sort of races etc you do. Best wishes, Celia and Ian
