A quote from Frank, he put it very clearly!

RE: Wiring Loom

The Autosparks loom is really good quality, has proper period cotton braiding, and seems to be a very accurate copy of a Warwick loom. After a lot of headscratching I sold it on (at a loss) to a warwick owner, who may get round to fitting it one of these days. IMHO, as a Perless loom, it's a non-starter.

Sadly it has no provision for the Peerless left hand headlight, or the fan that's underneath it, cos the warwick fan is in the dash, and the front lights lights on a warwick are all fed from a common plug on the right hand side, by the steering box. Also, Warwick instruments are in the centre, Peerless has them on the right of the dash (or left in Eric's DV's case). And Warwick switches are different as well. Shall I go on?.....

In fact making a harness fron scratch is easy-peasy, as long as you take your time, and use the correct colour (and size) wire. It's also possible to add in some proper sized earth returns, and put in extra feeds for the Kenlowe fan, a manual fan override switch, and the electric washers.

I used soldered tags or bullets, according to fitment, rather than crimps, and wrapped it in the non-sticky binding tape. The only gremlin in two years has been the Kenlowe override switch, (an aftermarket 25A item), which melted in the under-bonnet heat during the Le-Mans bash last year.

And I'm not knocking Autosparks, their service is good, they sold me all the individual wires, to my specification for colour and size, as well as the solder tags and insulating sleeves, and they keep some super period correct mounting clips as well. Oh, and they also do the special-size 4-core that goes down inside the steering column.
