 On the matter of door mirrors, I don't think I could drive mine with them in that position....I will try in the next couple of days. Might be worth just holding them on the car and both try out how they work?

Admittedly I cant really use my passengers door mirror but they can ( I only fitted it for symmetry!) aaaand the wires can always be address at a later date.

yea that light was common to quite a few cars around that period, suspect it was probably a replacement/scrapyard find back in the day as apposed to leaving the factory
