Does anyone know what's available in terms of manuals, workshop handbooks and so on. Obviously there's no Haynes manual available, since so few cars were made, but with other marques there's usually a factory parts list with exploded views and parts numbers available as a reproduction book. Did the factory ever make one for their dealers, and is it obtainable?
Of course, plan B is to take digital photos of every single bit before, during and after dismantling.(i.e. back side of instrument panel) However, since my car is a previously attempted restoration, I am bound to get a couple of boxses full of unlabelled bits. Any ideas?
There is a basic handbook that came with the Phase 1 Peerless which does have an exploded view of the De Dion axle which is very useful, this is availabe from Frank Jones (his details are on the Regalia Page of the website). The vast majority of the mechanicals are covered in the standard TR 2/3/4 workshop manuals (Haynes or original Triumph). An original Lucas wiring diagram is included in the Peerless Handbook mentioned above. Drop me an e-mail with some details of the car so that I can update my register (a picture or two would be great if you have any) and I might be able to give you some history on the car. As for anything else you need help with, just get yourself on the forum and ask, someone will usually have the answer ! If they or I don't, the vast majority of our membership (that do not inhabit cyberspace) can be called upon using traditional methods.
I'd also recommend that you look up the exploded diagrams from the MOSS website site http://www.moss-europe.co.uk These are very helpful for the TR sourced parts of the car.
Whether you decide to buy from Moss or not is up to you, but the diagrams are on the website, and therefore very cheap!
may I also point out that if you down load these pics from moss you will find that the lettering doesn’t fit the paper, the first page wont line up with the second, the margins will be very profitable, it will have to be produced in china, do not expose to sun light as it will disintegrate and most of it will be for an MG anyway
