Mallory Sunday

Hi All, sorry not to have posted recently. Got back from Angouleme where, accompanied by our noble leader and Frank Jones Ian raced the Warwick to a very credible 4th (first on historic tyres) and I came 10th in the Peerless with no brakes and an extremely hot engine giving me fuel evaporation. What a buzz though!
I am racing the Warwick at Mallory on Sunday in the 20 minute Classic and Historic race with the CTCRC. Our noble leader won't be attending, but our ever present loyal roady Frank Jones will!

Brakes are, of course, for wimps aww

Congratulations on the result!  What's the Warwick like to race compared to the Peerless?

Sorry not to have replied to this thread before! No computer and loads of work!
Warwick is much faster and has more acceleration than the Peerless, also actually handles better although very back-end twitchy! I (Celia) finished 6th and first in class at Mallory on October 4th, really enjoyed the race even with the oil dropped on the track. (Read all about it in TRaction!!)
Cars away for the Winter, no Classic Le Mans for the Peerless in 2010 as the entry fee is nearly 5000euros,   disbelief.gif    Never mind.  If anyone wants to see Ians' antics at Angouleme try here!!
