Xmas came early this morning. I now have the first alloy cast P grille in my possession. Even though I say so myself it looks brilliant.
My day at the foundry was made all the more entertaining (and informative) by the legend in his own lunchtime, Nigel Cluley and his Phase 1 car. We both watched as Patrick and his team at NewPro foundry www.newpro.co.uk turned my lowly resin cast 'plug' into the real deal alloy grille.
Before casting we made a few adjustments to the plug to allow for differences between the grille aperture on different cars. When ordering, I suggest you take measurements of the width and height of your grille aperture. NewPro can then make adjustments if necessary to ensure your grille will fit your car.
Cost is £150-£180 exc VAT which I think is superb value. The P grille is supplied unpolished, although NewPro will polish it for an additional fee.
