Peerless Anonymous

Hi,
My name's Richard and I'm a Peerless restorer.   Oh, the relief to finally admit it
amongst people who will understand my torment!   My grateful thanks to Nigel C
who encouraged me to come to terms with my "weakness" and told me that there are others who share this affliction.
As to the anonymous Peerless, all I know is that she carries engine No TS51467E.
I'm sure that there was once a V5 registration doc but I'm buggered if I know what happened to it.   I'm fairly sure she's a Phase 1 with a chassis No in the 180's and I bought her in Edinburgh, a long time ago in a universe far, far away (1988 or 9no).   She came with a Phase 2 front, not attached, and doors from both, which doesn't help; originally red and mechanically fairly much of a piece, everything looks as shagged as everything else.
I've threatened Gaydon with money, but they won't admit to being able even to tell me if this engine went to Peerless!
The plan is to make her a fun, practical road car (that goes like stink).   So I imagine that I'll be pestering for advice over the months (or years) to come.   Like, should I try to keep her 1991cc or give in and buy the cheaper, larger, pistons and liners?
You can probably tell already that I'm going to be a real pain.   Incidentally, I live near Ludlow but please don't hold it against me!

I have this image of a gentleman sitting on a chair, there are more chairs arranged in a circle, there are other people in the room, they are also sitting down. they seem to be looking at this lonely figure with drooping sholders and a slightly lost look about him as he confesses....."helllo, my name is Richard and I have a Peerless"disbelief

good to see you finally amitting it to the world! and as for Ludlow not far from me and of course so close to the Peerless & Warwick owners Register International at Malvern on the 24th-26th Julybiggrin
