Restoration Progress

Hi all

How are all of your restorations going?  I have been trying to continue the work on my Warwick, as you can probably guess from my posts my to do list for this year is mainly to sort the fuel pumps, carbs and exhaust along trying to get the car as watertight as possible.....

Whats happening with all your rebuilds????

Joe

Hi Jo
Happy to say I achieved an MOT on the Warwick on saturday. It had been a bit of a drama before the day and on the day. That whole story is one for around the campfire at Malvern. I then took it  to The Chiltern Classic Show near Aylesbury yeaterday. A great day around 1200 cars and commercials. I even bumped into Grahame Heather the Warwicks previous owner.
Now with an mot I do need a bit of advice to put all correct in the braking department. The question is do you or all the others out there know how I identify which of the TR3 rear brakes I have, as looking in the variuos suppliers info I need toanswere all the questions on the various types fitted. Any help as all ways will be gratefully recived.
regards Duncan

Congrats on the MOT!

Are all of the TR3 brakes the same size, i.e diameter of the drum or is that just the front disc size?

If you need wheel cylinders buy FX4 taxi ones, they are cheaper than TR.

Rear drums. looking in moss or rimmer they go on about late and early tr3 and 10" and 9" shoes , girling  etc. Brake cylinders are similar varations.
Thanks for tip on cylinders.confused
