Two cars found?

I’m in the southwestern United States and I thought I knew a lot about British autos and so was surprised yesterday to find two Peerless cars. I had never heard of Peerless, but am now sufficiently up to speed. An old wrecking yard near me is being cleaned out and someone recently saved these two cars from the crusher. They were pulled outside the fence in an effort, I believe, to show them for sale. My lousy cell phone camera did not photograph the builder’s plates well enough, but I do have very small shots of the two slightly different bodies. Anyone care for me to follow up? They are 300 miles from me in a place where I used to live and I will be going back in two weeks. If someone is interested enough I have one of my friends find out more about them.

Dear Steve,
Great news, it would be fantastic to find out more, pictures numbers, engines etc. As you will see on this site, there were two Peerless bodies(Phase 1 and 2) and a Warwick body . The Warwick body had a tipping up front (like a Triumph Spitfire, Herald). A Phase 1 has sticky out headlights , 2 bumps on the bonnet and no quarterlight, Phase 2 has a single air intake on the bonnet, quarterlights and the headlights were faired in.
The Peerless had a TR 4 pot engine , so did most of the Warwicks , though some , very rare had a Buick V8. Please find out more, especially as there are chaps in the USA desperate to find one to restore.
As we approach the 50th anniversary of the Le Mans run , there is a big resurgence of interest in the marque, so please se what you can do to make sure they go to a good home.

Any info , you can post to this site or email me jonathan@rainmakercorp.co.uk, with data and pictures, if it is easier.

I have e mailed Bill Brewer in north America as he is looking for a car...or two, well when you got one you end up with two anyway.

I know he maybe to far away but he's closer than us.

His e mail is   <bbrewer@tvwireless.net>

Steve, looking at the oics from your 'phpne they look like a couple of 'phase 1 Peerless's.
One even has the very rare windscreen. Look forward to seeing more when you next go up there.
