This internet thing is much easier than I thought, thought, as a born ratter, I am not sure that I should be associated with a mouse! Also difficult with paws.
A big thank you for a fantastic weekend, very busy and I have to say I was a little tired on the way home, fell asleep as we left the showground and woke up 4.5 hours later at home , had a snack fell asleep and woke up at 09.00 hours this morning.
Special l thanks to the Clan Cluley for looking after me so well, especialy Jake (3 minutes) Cluley and Grandma C for taking me to the dog show and Adam. My rosette is in pride place.
Also a big thank you to Frank and Denise (even though she kept me up late) for the very fine burger, much better than the muesli a get at home.
I was particularly looking forward to dancing with Celia, never mind next year , I hope. Still thinking of a question for Jon (Mr information) Nolan, I will get one on the end.
Frank , I will miss our evening chats but will see you soon in Kent soon.
See you again soon I hope.

Monty

I would like to follow the noble hound and add my thanks to everyone. Great weekend, great BBQ,with probably the best potato salad ever and fantastic food, thanks you very much Denise and Frank. Thanks Jake and Adam for all the dog watching. Particular liked all the Peerless and Warwick knowledge swaps and it was fantastic to see the Le Mans car looking so wonderful. Celia, I agree with Monty about the lack of "Strictly Peerless Dancing" but I can at least walk today. Thanks for all the help in getting the trailer sorted , I will have to drive over to see Frank for my second lesson in home mechanics, only another 400 to go. Lovely to see Jean after about 40 years, has not changed a bit. On the other hand, I may have put on a pound or two.
A serious big thanks to Nigel l. It was great fun.
See you all soon, I hope .
Jonathan

To all you fabulous mad Peerless/Warwick people.  I must add our thanks to Montys and Jonathans for a fantastic weekend.  My apologies for not taking Monty to the dance floor, but perhaps next year he will be a "big dog " and can join in the boogying ! I must admit I was cream crackered anyway ! Mouth-watering food from Denise and Frank--don't know how they do it, and seemingly a non-stop supply of booze/banter from all.  Really good to welcome Wolfgang and family in their intrepid Peerless all the way from near Cologne, ( hug for your daughter. ) Also the indomitable Eric who IS going to come in his own Peerless next year ( no excuses !) Makes me very humble to listen to their immaculate English, we're a lazy bunch aren't we ? Ten in the ring again, do you think we could make it 20 one day? Also top marks to Ken and Chris for restoring the Le Mans car to its' previous glory, it was an honour to be next to it in the ring. I'm not going to mention everyone for fear of forgetting someone, but I must just say that Gary Stretton is now a hopeless case ( i.e a Peerless addict !) good on him, and it was excellent to see Jon amongst his rightful tribe.  Last but not least "well done Nigel " a first class performance, I am of course talking about his speeches in the ring, now now !

Nice one Mr C,

and well done on a grand turnout of 11 cars. Shame about the lone ranger...

Personal Press Photographer – sounds better than Peerless Owners' Stalker.

Another wonderfully friendly weekend with Peerless People – I thank everyone for welcoming me to the fibreglass bosom of the Register.

Many thanks Celia for the porridge – Celias Peerless Porridge – could be a winner. Jamie Oliver lives out your way, perhaps you can have a word with him? The nation's children need porridge.

Many thanks Jonathan for the look through your most revealing archive, the opportunity to stand like an eejit with an umbrella whilst your generator was coaxed back to life by Jon and Erik. Did I leave my umbrella at your trailer/tent? Thank you also for the extended licensing hours, hic.
Please pass on my regards to Jean - I enjoyed our brief chat very much but didn't say goodbye.

Many thanks Jon for the wee small hours geetar stint – I have the evidence.
Big hug to Monty for demonstrating dogged persistence in persuading all and sundry to throw his ball.

Was good to Alan House again too. And a big thumbs up to Denise and Frank for the BBQ. What a team.
I have some ideas (strange but true) about parts, T-shirts etc which I'll mention as new topics.

Great to see you at the weekend, I like the idea of a Personal Peerless Press Photographer When I left on Sunday there was indeed an umbrella being passed around like a game of pass the parcel. As far as I remember it was green with little flags or cars on it. Smacks of being the property of the noble editor. Internally it was much in need of a rebuild, not a problem to an intrepid Peerles restorer. Look forward to reading about all matters Peerless and Warwick in the coming months. Let us keep in contact on regalia etc. I am trying to sort out Fobs and Badges at the moment. When is the next P&W beer opportunity? Every other club seems to have a Noggin and Natter at an Old Moat House, 2nd alternative Tuesday, bi-monthly. Perhaps we should have one.

Many thanks to everyone, for this outstanding weekend.

I've really enjoyed my stay and your hospitality.

A special thanks to Frank and Denise for borrowing me their spare tent and this very nice cusion.

Frank, for sorting out the insurance so i could drive his blue beast, and for taking me to the Saxon Mill, where it all started.

Very nice of Frank to take the "slow road" near Malvern, at least now i know why he's called Flash Frank!

The weekend passed by too fast, and i'm already looking forward to coming over next year.

I have absorbed many stories and taken many detail pictures of the cars, so i have enough motivation to carry on with my restoration.

See you all next year!!

Hello all,

just to let you know that we got back to Germany all right and that our Peerless performed faultlessly all the way, no mean thing with the heat we experience! We hope everybody else got home as well!

We would like to thank you all for that very warm welcome, really great to meet you all! Great atmosphere, and we felt very much at home, thank you very much for this superb weekend! Many special thanks to Denise and Frank for the superb BBQ, and to Nigel for the excellent organisation, and we know many others have contributed as well.

It was great to see so many cars at one time, and well worth the effort of the journey. Really great to see the Le Mans cars, and all the others beautifully turned out! I have taken quite a number of pictures and will send them to Nigel for further use (Nigel – can you give me your postal address – send to wolfgang.puritz@t-online.de please).  Dagmar and Céline also really enjoyed this great weekend, and we also think that it passed far too fast.

Looking forward to see you all again

Many greetings from Germany

Wolfgang
