Propshaft

Hi again.

Thanks for answers about the exhaust manifold question!
Im about to start the restoration and i think a lot of things need to be sorted out.
- on is the propshaft , mine is gone but I have borrowed one from a friend to make a copy.
The rubber coupling to the Rear differential is the problem for me. Is the any upgrade or speerparts to be found ?

Hi Johan,

Personally I have gone for a sliding spigot at the gearbox end. this helps assemble and also IF you go for a 4 syncro box they are slightly longer and the original prop wont fit!

the splined end just takes out the difference.

when My layrub coupling (that's what they are called) failed i replaced it with a standard UJ/knuckle joint/Hardy Spicier unit (lots of different names) and IMHO have not noticed any increase in noise transfer.
