A hard day's fright

Just watched on youtube one of the old Roscoe BRSCC films 'A hard day's fright'.  At 17.24 a red Peerless GT appears in 1964 GT race at Mallory Park.

Anyone have any ideas who or what this might be?

Well spotted just watched it. Not much to go on. Maybe someone has a racing programme. I wonder what the exact date is?

I think that is August 16th 1964, Maurice Gates in XYO464.

I've got some racing programmes from that period> Gates was a regular at Mallory Park in his Peerless

Probably Gates, then. Good call.

I was just surprised to see a Peerless still racing in 1964. Any idea how long folk kept racing them before they became uncompetitive?

Aside from classic events, of course.
