WINNER at Mallory !!

We are proud to announce that our racing Peerless won first in class and a very nice trophy in the Oldies but Goldies 45 minute two driver race at Mallory Park on Sunday. We were 9th overall from a grid of 28 starters, so that was a good result in a car that is basically a road car, non-modified against race prepared cars. Ian and I (Celia) equally shared the driving.  We then contested the Top Hat class by invitation as they had a lot of that race drop out with problems after qualifying, and we came first in class in that, only no trophy as it wasn't really our race, we were just there for the fun.  The car did 96 laps altogether ( including qualifying, ) and was on the track for nearly 2 hours. What a day--GREAT. Can't wait for next season.

Wot a result!

Congratulations guys, I'm really impressed.  I'm only sorry I wasn't there, it conflicted with a long-standing arrangement to take my Dad to the Triumph day at Duxford, I'm afraid.

I'll try harder next time, as long as you can give me dates a bit more in advance.

Thanks for the reply Frank, earlier in the season I reported to our Registrar that Ian had won first in class at Snetterton in the pouring rain, didn't put it on the forum as I thought Jon would have told you all!!?? So now 2 trophies adorn our sideboard, although Sunday was raelly good as it was a better result alround and also a European meeting which is pretty prestigious ! Afraid you'll have to wait till next year for more results.  Give us a ring anytime-01440786325, Celia.
