Hello- I rcently purchased a Peerless GT (chassis GT200092)which I am restoring. All the mechanicals and instruments have been rebuilt or replaced, so mechanically it is in very good condition.
Before I bought the car, I was in contact with Nigel, but I haven't been able to raise him since. What I wanted to know was wheather handbook reprints were still available, and if so how to go about obtaining one via the internet if possible, I would be gratefull if anyone could give me any help. I am also in need of tail-light lenses, again I would be gratefull for any help.
As a matter of interest, I am not new to Peerless GT's, as I co-drove the first one privately imported to the States in a 12 hour endurance race (the 12 hours of Marlboro) back in the dark ages.
I would like to hear from any other owners, particularly those in the US as I live in Palm Beach County, Florida.
David Nice to hear of another Peerless in the US. I don't have a hand book but I will pass on the info that Holden in the UK has lense for the taillights. Even complete assy if you want them. Go to http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct.asp?pCode=L54854571072 They have red and amber lenses.
Dean: Thanks very much for the information. As you say, it is very nice to hear from s fellow owner in the US. I am originally from your neck of the woods, accross the bay in Maryland, and am a retired engineer who spent his professional life as an intelligence officer. I also own a Lotus-7, and my wife has a Morgan+4, but it is the Peerless that holds all the nostalgia for me. If I could be of help to you, or just a car chat, my Email is: mara_7@netzero.net I think a registry for fellow owners in the colonies would be a good idea . . . David
