Got the bonnet (hood) strut location sorted but I have no idea where the plate with the support rod attaches to the boot lid. Anyone help?

Hi Mike,

I have found only one picture with the hinge point of the support rod.

You're looking at the inside of the lower left corner of the boot lid.

On the opposite corner there should be some kind of clamp, to "store" the support rod when not used.

Hope this is correct for the Ph1, and of any use to you?

Perfect. Thank you Erik. It also confirms that I have the correct strut as the top hat shaped mounting plate is exactly the same as mine.

You never know with these cars if someone in the past has swapped parts over.
