so your hoping to have the first Phase 1 in living memory with a clear screen..... good luck with that! uoh ho, Gary will be coming smugly along shortly.............
The sales achieved on other lots on his site are rather less than I would have anticipated, or perhaps I'm just very out of touch.
Certainly the £25K base estimate is not much more than the "cost of parts" to restore one, and bears no comparison with the valuations we've heard of recently.
Because so few running P\W get to market, is it possible to value our cars, based on actual sale achieved prices?
My feeling is that part of the problem is lack of awareness of the marque (despite the best efforts of this site and the club). I've never met one single classic car enthusiast who's recognised my Peerless or, when told what it was, was aware of the history. IMHO, 25k for that car was a bit of a steal but what do I know?
By contrast, GK's, which are even rarer and to many just as much unknown consistently achieve good money. Try getting close to GK money for a Warwick 350, not a hope in hell, I'd say.
