Sun visors

Can anyone advise if the P1 came with fold down Perspex sun visors as standard? My car had a pair of green tinted ones but I'm uncertain if they were original or after market.  I've seen online pics of cars both with and without visors so not sure whether to fit them or not.

I can get the Holden ones at a rather ridiculous £78.00 each but these have two separate hinges as opposed to the one central hinge on the ones that came off the car.

Are you sure you want these?

You sit so low and far back from the letter box of a screen that you probably won't ever use them, and the single hinge fixing to the shell (under the headlining) is pretty rudimentary.

If you really want some I have two that came off my Ph2, I think one has a broken hinge.

Like these...

Ornamental value only.  PM me if you really want them.

Frank, thank you for the offer but I've ordered a new pair from Holden. I understand your comments about being purely ornamental but in my neck of the woods, I spend a lot of time driving up (and down) hills so they might prove to be necessary for me.

I have bits of the original ones, one day I'll get round to them... (like the door window mechanism hey Frank disbelief) Make sure you put good bonded fixings in the roof before head lining goes in Mike. the factory used a silly buit of wood dabbed on with resindoh

Good, well shaped block of oak bonded on with some P40 would do the trick...

Yes, I was going to do a bit of whittling not just for the visors but for the interior light too. IIRC, this was just screwed into the ally U trim. The new visors I bought from Holden have a mounting point at each end rather than the central one of the originals so hopefully might be a bit more secure. I've still got the originals if anyone wants them but the chrome is well past its best.

I've just had a nice new wool headlining made so don't want to put any holes where they shouldn't be.

biggrin bodged a hole in my headlining about 15 years ago at Snetterton foraging for pallet wood to keep Jon Nolan's obsession for fires topped up! doh

Wouldn't have a problem up here, Nigel. After all the storms we've had there's plenty of trees still lying around.
