MOT update

Update from the MOT shop this morning.

LED headlights are back, and legal for a test, so Pass with no advisories this morning.  The Warwick is all LED apart from dash warning lights now.  I really want period look ones with logos, so watch this space.

Supply of replacement components is a problem for everybody, not just classics.  This is probably due to covid or brexit, or both, but is particularly bad for anything supplied via europe.  Tip, keep spares for all vital components, like balljoints!

Quality of replacement components is becoming an issue for everybody, not just classics or rubber components.  The suspicion is that as models to out of production, spares are quickly subcontracted to the cheapest supplier with the inevitable results.

Thanks Eric.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a look around the DVLA website.....

There were thirty odd Warwicks made.

We have photos/records of about twenty.

Of these the DVLA recognises twelve registration numbers.  The others are "not taxed for road use"

Five of these are shown as "Taxed" and one "off road"

Of these five, only one has a current MOT test.

I known it's not compulsory, but it's a great confidence booster.
