Fitting fuel filler cap.

As it's been rather quite on here recently, I thought it's about time someone came along and disturbed the peace and that someone is me!!

Simple question really.

Is it possible to tighten up the filler cap on to the threaded coupling that goes on the inside of the body with the GRP triangular sections that go either side of the rear seats fixed in place or am I better to wait until the paint is on and fix all the filler pipe sections including the cap in place and then fit the triangular sections??

yea, IMHO I would fit these after paint, tighten up from the back and fit the GRP.

Thanks, Nigel. Thought I might be making things difficult by fitting the GRP first.

Did something similarly stupid yesterday. Fitted driver side fuel tank. Got it properly positioned, sender unit wired up, filler and breather hose all in place with hose clips on. Then found the hose with the AN6 outlet that goes from tank to pump on the floor.

Guess what I spent today doing?
