When I fitted LED headlight bulbs in October I didn't expect them to be banned, but that's what's happened.
They will now result in an MOT failure. When I checked before fitting, HID units were banned, but not LED, but that changed on 1st Jan.I
This is a bit dissapointing, seems it's OK for all the MPVs (whose HID lights and tail lights are higher than the roof of a Warwick) to blind me.
I would have thought that providing the dip beam test passed, I would be OK, but just the existence of the bulb, whatever the performance now results in a fail.
I've looked at the regs again this morning, and leds bulbs elsewhere including the auxiliary fogs seem to be OK, so they will stay, and will get used more often.
That's a bit annoying. I was planning on fitting them too. I'll just have to make do with side/indicator, tail & stop lights. Back to thinking about the Nightbreaker bulbs now.
