Lawrence Tune bought a dozen or so unfinished cars and sold them with tuned engines I believe. But I seem to remember one was produced for Chris Lawrences dad with a shortened body/chassis. Can anyone shed some light on this ?
The mythical Peewick appears in The Amazing Sports Car Journal by Jasper Wilkins. A book almost as rare as the Peewick. Sadly, the accompanying photo is not of the Peewick but a standard car. However, the text is fairly interesting.
Bit of googling and Im looking at a peerless when I realise it has the registration number 456 AJH, the Peewick car but it doesnt appear to have been shortened. ?
These are the 2 pictures that appear in 'The Amazing Sports Car Journal' as the Peewick. Looking at the pictures in the book, I find it hard to believe that the car has been shortened by 4".
Looking at the car again the plates must have been put on another car. This cant be the peewick because Chris Lawrence bought the last few Warwicks and its clearly a Peerless in the photo. Was the Peewick damaged beyond repair?
