Rear view mirrors on a Peerless

Last week i put a Pair of Triumph TR6 mirrors on the Phase 2.
The effective diameter of the mirror glass is 110mm.

To be honest i couldn't see much in it, because the original mirror glass is flat.

I couldn't find any separate convex mirror glasses for sale so i bought a pair of second hand motorcycle mirrors.

These are convex, but a little bit too big in diameter.
I borrowed the Tiffany glass grinding machine from my sister in law and carefully and patiently ground them to the correct size.

They make a very big improvement.
Everything you see in it is smaller but that is pretty much the same like modern car mirrors.

Hmm, looks like i need to tidy up my workshop :)
