Tail light gaskets.

Bought a pair of the rubber tail light gaskets from the ebay retailer that Gary recommended some 6 years ago. Amazingly, they still come in at £14.00 a pair, same as back in 2014! Way better than Holdens £18.00 each eyepopping.gif

Anyway, the point of this post is that the gaskets come with a 'seat' that fits under the light unit. This is, presumably, for the likes of RR and Alvis which use the same lights and they 'sit' on metalwork. Should I cut these seats off prior to fitting the lights?? The only alternative would, I guess, be gluing them to the bottom of the lights but I can't see that being correct.

I cut the "seat" off when I did mine.

Thanks, Dave. Figured that was the case.
