Interesting pic just come up on the facebook site

No idea where this is but I'm guessing somewhere in the UK.

Looks to be relatively recent given the houses in the background and the alloys on the car. Note the green car too.

Posted by Ken Yankey with the title 'I wish I'd kept this car'.

Green P2 car identified as 'possibly' 921GEH. Apparently up for sale around 20 years ago but with part chassis missing.

Still on DVLA database. Last log book issued Nov. 2005. No tax, no MOT. Last taxed 1984.

Are they both still around??

On yes, I know this car. In 2000 John Nolan and I went to look at the Peerless, but didn't buy.

Ken bought the Warwick, and I took it on in 2004. The yellow is not original, it's red now.

Just done its MOT again, no advisories.

Dug these pictures out from our 2000 visit....

The Peerless (yes, it was GEH) was in the front of the container, somewhere near Wrexham, and the Warwick was in the back.

The peerless went abroad to Atle, I believe.

Id love to know any history prior to 2000, both were "failed restorations".

Goes to show how small the Peerless/Warwick world is but, 2 cars in the same yard? Thats got to be unusual.

Did Atle not put his Peerless up for sale recently or am I getting confused (again)?

I viewed and agreed to buy GEH from its subsequent owner near Gatwick in May 2005. I had to withdraw from the sale when my house sale fell through and that's how it became available again for Atle to buy and take to Finland.

The photo is one of many I took that day. Little did I know back then about the incorrect chassis repairs at the front, but in hindsight, it was still worth it.

In truth I'm glad I walked away from that one.  Someone had cut the chassis tube s around the dash and A pillars to lift the body off, and somehow expected to weld them back to the new chassis.  Atle ended up making a whole replacement chassis, but I don't know if he ever finished the car.

The Warwick was little better, no engine, box and missing most of the front suspension.  Chassis was twisted and repaired with angle iron.  By the time I bought it from Ken, I'd done a phase 2 and it didn't frighten me anymore.

I'd love to know any early history of this message trial brings one up.

There was information posted some years ago that Atle sold the car, unfinished, to Germany. Bought by someone called Dirk.
