As some of you will know at the end of my drive is a "public space". an area that the builders were obliged to set aside per head of population. Other than a few cats crossing it (which drives my dog mad on a regular basis) it gets very little use.
A few messages went round the neighbours this morning and one by one, and I must stress, one by one we drove off the ends of our drives and straight through the gate into the park.
These cars come from the houses that overlook the park so, on average I would say the journey was on average 50 yards each!
It was a great boost for all and we left them there all day. A lot of dog walkers and social exercisers also enjoyed seeing them and went into the park to take a look.
I waited until I heard the first one start up and "go home" and then I went and retrieved mine and so on until we were all safely tucked up again, I hope you dont think we were irresponsible?
A great collection of cars. Inc your Peerless Nigel. Helen sent away for one of the stay at home day rally plaques supporting charily. Sadly the vittese is not at home so not an essential journey. Pics attached
