Dashboard covering

I think I'm correct in saying the original material in which the P1 dashboards were covered is now unobtainable. Has anyone discovered a suitable alternative? Failing so, I'm considering (heresy, I know) having the dash vinyl wrapped. I've seen some rather tasty leather effect vinyls along with other colours and effects that might work.

Any thoughts?

just been in the loft looking for "other stuff" and found whats left of the roll of material that I bought to do my dashboard 30 years ago!

I remember it came from BAS? in wales. I was told later that it was exactly the same material pattern as the roof covering on the convertible rover 400 range. I remember looking at one in a car park, and they were right!

It seems that the pressing rollers that make the pattern are donkeys years old and they just roll them out from time to time and convince manufactures that they are new...
