Pleasant surprise

As may have been observed from another of my recent posts, I had to change the engine front plate on my re-built engine from the TR4 one to the TR3 one to get the engine sitting at the correct height in the chassis.

In doing so, look what I found.

I was well pleased.

Wauw, that looks like an expensive piece.

Excellent surprise indeed!!

Very happy for you.

Well, I knew the re-build included new liners, pistons, fast road cam, unleaded etc, etc but I didn't know about or expect a vernier cam sprocket.

Did we get out of the wrong side of the bed today, Nige?? winkwink

Really don't know if it's a faff or not.

Hopefully whoever re-built the engine set up the vernier correctly. I'll soon find out as I'm not too far for the first fire up in 50 years.
