Paint colors

My Phase 2 bodywork is nearly done.  Hopefully it will soon be time to choose the paint color. It was originally a dark green - seems darker and not as shiney as BRG.  Usually I prefer to stick with original colors, but the shade doesn't seem to do much for highlighting the lines of the Peerless.  Does anybody have the color codes for original paint options?  I did a Marcos in a silver green metallic that really complimented the body lines.  Has anybody used such a color on a Peerless?  Guessing not many people will be able to tell whether it's an original color, but it would be nice to keep it as authentic as possible.

sorry Greg I have no factory codes/references but I would perhaps look at Triumph and Austin colours of the time as they were contemporary?

As for lighter colours, I have to say these are always better IMHO for GRp cars as they show less problems in the under structure of the body moldings etc and GRP does "shift" over time. I have some ripples in mine that definitely were not there 22 years ago!

Still we can say that about a lot of things too!

Light Green or Blue metallic would be very forgiving but harder to maintain/touch up and may imply the Aston look perhaps to much....there again you can never have to much Aston look IMHObiggrin

I believe the Peerless GT was only offered in five colors. I have tried to figure out the original paint codes and that information is seemingly hard to find. My car was originally blue. The five colors are green, blue, white, red and grey.
