The Head switch is for the head lights. The first pull of the switch is side lights, the second pull of the switch in head lights.
Panel means the panel lights, these are the bulbs in the dashboard that illuminate all the clocks/dials etc. It was thought that for night driving these could be switched off to aid night vision etc
Quite frankly when switched off for more than a couple of minutes I start to worry what's getting hot/cold/dropping in pressure/over-under charging etc and so have used this switch for "other things" and left the panel lights to come on with the side lights
And yes, yellow light is for indicators, red for Ignition and there is a small blue one inside the speedo that you can use for dip/beam of the head lights.
Hi Nigel, Thanks for your help that helps me a lot now. When I bought the Peerless 3 years ago, nothing worked. The restoration will soon be finished and I can give it to the saddler. I would like to make inner wing blades for the rear wheels and partly an aluminum plate 1mm for the underbody, so as not to get too much dirt into the transmission.Have somebody already done that. Still pictures of my original steering wheel with peerless emblem. Have this made for the horn button and have some left.Anyone who is interested can contact me. See photo Good time Eric

Whatever you do, do not fit an aluminium floor to the underside.
Steel and alloy react leaving you with white powder, no chassis, no floor and a Fred Flinstone nickname.
Yabba Dabba Don't!
Pics of my customer's car which had the same treatment (Gordon Keeble construction is the same and they suffer the same fate). Do not box in the chassis because it will sweat.
