Please let me know if the bumpers are still available. My Phase 2 bodywork is nearly done. Would love to have a set of bumpers in place before painting. Thanks. Greg. Gh356@hotmail.com

Hi Greg,

Just need to flag up that the bumpers on a Phase 2 are different to phase 1. The fronts are possibly the same (never put them side by side) but the rears are very different.

I have moulds for the phase 2 bumpers (front and back) and can produce a new set if you need them...In fact I did have another owner wanting some but he's gone quiet.

Let me know

Nigel c

The front bumpers differs also, between Phase 1 and 2. The Phase 2 front bumpers are not as slim as the Phase 1.

So Nigel, can you really get front bumpers made? How much, and how soon?
I'm missing one from the Warwick, which ought to be the same pattern as a ph2 but it would be better to get two made.

Frank

Frank,

I have a full set of bumpers somewere. (left over from the Toyota chassis Peerless)

The rears are definitely Phase 2

The fronts I can compare tonight, to see if they are different.

I just dug out the bumpers.

The fronts are exactly the same as on my Phase 1, no difference.

They came of a Phase 1, i have original pictures of.

Why that was equipped with Phase 2 rear bumpers, i don't have a clue?

Nigel, thanks for the tip. Dean has a set of molds that he generously lent to me, but I got busy prepping our home for sale, passed the molds on to another Peerless restorer who was going to make me a set, forgot, and returned the molds to Dean. Long story, but not sure which version bumpers they would have been anyway, and while I can handle basic fiberglass work pretty well, I've never made anything out of a mold. Seems pretty easy and fun, but I would rather buy a set, even if they need some work. If anybody has a set available, or if you are able to produce one from your molds, please let me know.

The molds I have were for a Phase I car.  Phase 1 cars have slimmer front and rear bumpers when compared to a Phase 2 car.
