THE NEXT NEW YEAR BASH!

Well, as much as I'd love to come, the location is way too far away for me.

Excuses, excuses, just had a quick look and you could get a return flight from Edinburgh for £45 and you'd land right next to the Classic Restoration show at the NEC!!

That's cheaper (and probably quicker) than me driving up from Kent

Add on £45.00 for SWMBO, £30.00 for parking at Edinburgh Airport, another £30.0 for boarding the cat, probably £25 for car hire etc, etc.

But, more importantly, I HATE going down to England. Rude drivers, too many of them, smells like sh1t, anti-social people. Admittedly, it's usually cities I visit on business so probably not the best experience.

It's not the loud noisy car, belching out fumes, constantly breaking down type of anti-social people I'm referring to, it's all the others.

Car hire for £25?  You've been away a very long time!

I will admit that I didn't much enjoy working in London, Manchester, Leeds, Coventry (and I went to school there) for the reasons you mention.

There is a lot of England that's not like that, and I'm happy in sleepy Suffolk.

I'm sure you're right, Frank. It's just my misfortune to have to go and work in these cities. Principally London, which I think nobody likes apart from those who live there (even that's doubtful).

I did have a very nice holiday in Shakespeare country and along the Fosse Way. Delightful part of the world. Even saw Glenda Jackson in Anthony & Cleopatra at the Festival Theatre. Lake district is nice too but always rains there as it did today on my way past it up the M6 from Burnley.

The great advantage for you southern softies is the plethora of classic car clubs/meets/events/dealers you have. Up here, it's like a massive black hole.

But I have put 603EPP forward for a possible slot on the TR Registers space at the Glamis Extravaganza. Lets see if she gets selected!

Lets hope so Mike, then you can furnish me with a few words and a couple of photos for the next Traction report!

It's a bit off yet, Nigel. Usually late July but it's a popular event and spaces fill up quickly. If I get the nod, I'll let you know.
