New member looking for a nice car

Evening to all you Peerless fanciers out there. I've just joined the forum as i'm after a nice Peerless GT - ideally a phase 2 car. I'm wondering if anyone can give any guidance on a few issues to help me along:

1. Does anyone know of a nice phase car being offered or anyone thinking of selling their car on?

2. Would you say there's any noticeable difference in driving (agility/poise/rigidity/noise) or maintenance (cracks or split panel joints) between the phase 1 and phase 2. Obviously I'm focussing mostly on the improved body shell in the phase 2? I'm not sure if should let the early body put me off a decent phase 1 car.

3. Has anyone got an idea of real world prices for a decent example. Most of the cars i've seen sold over the last 2-3 years (researching on Google) are in the USA and seem cheaper than the UK examples. I've heard of a very good phase 1 asking £20-22,000, and saw a recent phase 2 (fast road & race tuned) offered at £26,000. I'm not in the market for doing much work as i don't have the time for doing work myself so i'm after soothing decent that i can take on tours, club rallies and Goodwood. Hagerty's valuation site quotes: £7,600 fair, £10,800 Good, £19,800 Excellent,£27,700 Concours.

Out of interest when and where are you meeting up next for a weekend 'run' or car show/'event? If i'm free i'll join you. I'm split between Central London and Whitstable, Kent.

I'd welcome any advise you can spare. Thanks
