Sun Visor?

I am working towards getting the interior finished on my car.  Some pictures show a sun visor of some kind that I don't have.  Did the car originally come with one?  If so, anyone have a picture?  And, any ideas for a source for one?

Thanks.

Steve

Yes, I've got a pair of original ones, smoked perspex.  The pivot is one of those
Zinc alloy castings that corrodes, and seizes the pivot, which doesn't help.

They are secured to the roof panel with a couple of Whitworth screws, and
the nuts are bonded (as an afterthought) to the roof.  Usually they fall off
or the Whitworth thread gets butchered.

To be honest, there are enough bits falling off already, and you don't need
any more.  And if you are only marginally taller than Frank Jones then you'll
find that the roof is so low that you don't need them anyway.

I'll dig mine out of the shed during the week and post some pictures.

Hi Steve,

the visors I have (for about 30 years and never got round to restoring!) are blue tinted acrylic with (from poor memory) pressed and chrome steel brackets.

I too will investigate further and report back. Mine were screwed into small blokes of wood bonded onto the inside of the roof.

I have to say I'm six foot and still struggle in low sunlight and have also ordered a new screen with blue tint sun strip (but they wouldn't print "Nig & Present Mrs Cluley" across it!)
