a few years (3ish) left for me still, and 3 cars ahead in the queue (mostly for sale as part of the pension pot) Then the 3 Peerlesses take centre stage. I reckon that is about the right timeframe to track all the missing bits down for each Project. And like you the plan is one for me and one each for the kids. What brilliant parents we are.....
First generation T birds eh? Serious metal. Route 50 in a T bird would be magic, I did it a few years ago in a 48 Westland (and caught fire in Death Valley, as you do, nothing too serious though). I don't think T Birds would like the tiny, twisty Italian roads though!
they do come up surprisingly often, I think that is the 4th in a year - so I am sure you will get one. As their value goes up it is amazing how cars reappear!
Notwithstanding what Ford had to say back in 1953 and 1954, Thunderbirds were never meant to be rallied! Wonderful on the flats, straight down, but horrible on sharp curves. Still exciting though... Perhaps if my lovely bride and I come through England on our way to Tanzania, we can arrange a visit...
You would be very welcome Kent - though you would have to make it to Scotland! I am just South of Aberdeen, if it wasn't for the weather up there it would be almost perfect!
