Reverse Lamp

I am starting to hook up gauges and do final wiring on #216.  I  don't seem able to find a reverse lamp in loom.  I assume one just wires separately back to it?

The Wiring Diagram buried in the archive shows the lamp and the wiring.

It should be in the loom, a green/brown wire and run from the switch
(a dodgy arrangement on a spring from the back of the reverse selector rod)

to the Number plate/reverse light in the middle of the boot, via the Right hand tank,
over the right rear wheel arch.

The original switch fitment doesn't work well, and often gets lost.  It's possible to
add an extra limit switch to the selector rod casing, as per TR3, which is
MUCH more reliable.

IN UK a manually operated reverse light switch need a visible indicator that
the white reversing light is on.  This should be checked annually at the MOT test.
