Front spot and fog lamps

I'm trying to determine the correct front auxiliary lamps as fitted to the Le Mans car. Lucas base mounted on a bracket, judging from the pics I have seen of Ken's car. Can anyone shed some light (sorry) on which lamps?

Mine had inset lamps inside the radiator intake when is was photographed for the Haynes book back in the late 50/early 60s, but I won't be doing that.

All the best, Gary

Did you say Haynes book? Did they actually print a Haynes Manual for the Peerless?

Hello Greg, well done for finishing 155. Any photos? I was referring to the 1965 'Guide To Used Sports Car', Vol 2 by JH Haynes.

Gary, 155 is as I purchesed it in November of 2012. I am working on a frame off on a 64 TR4 and life gets in the way of spending as much time in the shop as I would like.

they were the SLR700s   5 3/4 inch Lucas range I seem to remember they were both the driving lamp and not the fog lamp, but I could be wrong.

I keep looking for a nice pair (oooher)disbelief at Jumbles etc but not had much luck so far but then I don't want to spend to much either! there's always two fog lamps to one driving as well.

They had the swivel cup type fixing on the back which I think was common on the Rover P5, Daimler MK2 etc
