Peerless badge bar

Does anyone know where I could find a Peerless badge bar (fits into the bonnet air intake with a ringed "p") or know of anyone reproducing them?

Thanks, Jeff.  GT2/ 00063.

I'll take mine to the foundry to find out how much they will cost.

whooooa there, Tiger.

Gary did a complete article on the re-production of these with a casting firm here in the UK. if you ask nicely I bet Gary will have a PDF he could send you (or a back issue sort code for the real Magazine in your hand experience!)

They were great guys and really knew their stuff.

from memory it cost about £150 to cast one from the master they hold in stock but you will have to talk to them about the type of finish. I will be extracting a beer or two out of Gary at the weekend and so will mention this thread and see what we can do.

AND not wanting to exclude anyone from Gary's grand opening of his wallet you can all come along! it will be at the NYB 2014

Thanks to everyone for replying so quickly, I just know I will owe lots of members quite a few drinks by the time this rebuild is completed, look forward to meeting you all.

I received a badge bar from new pro foundries.  It is lovely.  Question now is how does it mount?

Did the original have perpendicular tabs at the end of the four extensions through which one could drill holes and screw into/through fiberglass?  Seems like my opening is smaller height so I need to cut down the badge bar.  If I do it will take off the tabs on the vertical bars.  I guess I could drill into bar and screw from inside into vertical bar if necessary.  Any suggestions?

Yep, mine is drilled and tapped with a suitable thread and then bolted through the return "lip" of the "mouth" from the inside.....if that makes sense?

Have you also got one of these fitted, its a must for a Peerless!

Picture is great thanks.  The vertical bars are just too long on mine so I will have to cut them down.

top to bottom measures 186mm and side to side is 726mm if that helps?

If your new P is near to these measurements then the maybe out? I did a lot of work on mine to get it somewhere near straight/level and dont remember cutting the P down.

If you have to cut yours down perhaps you have accident damage to contend with?

We cast them with extra alloy to account for variances between cars.

I've had to cut and file mine to fit. Easy to do though.

All the best, Gary
