Boot /Trunk Lock


The lock on the 1958 Peerless GT that we are working on is missing and there is only a hole where it should be. Was it a TR3 boot handle, a TR3 glove box door lock (or should that be a Cubby door)? or something completely different?

The original was something like this

but most people fit one of these, because you get better torque to pull the bootlid
into the rubber seal.

For Phase 1 cars they used bonnet or boot locks from Jensen.

Something like in the picture.

Just a key, no handle.

I'll look up some picture that i have of this tomorrow.
