OUTER WINDOW SEAL

COULD ANYONE TELL ME IF OUTER WINDOW SEALS ARE AVIALABLE, AND IF SO, WHERE CAN THEY BE PURCHASED?

BEST REGARDS . . . MAJOR C. D. BENFENDER RET.

You need to be more specific, which window?

All window seals are available from   http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk

The only awkward part is the outer blade on the opening door window
wich is a rubber strip inside an aluminium U construction.  Providing
you still have the aluminium part, replacement rubber strip 88-50-1
will do the job.

THANKS FRANK, THAT'S A GREAT HELP, AND I'M SORRY THAT I FAILED TO SAY THAT IT WAS DOOR WINDOW OUTER SEALS THAT I AM LOOKING FOR.

THANKS AGAIN . . . CDB

And what is a good solution if there is no aluminum u?  Can you post a picture of what the aluminum u looks like?

If you have lost the ali strip then something like this would work, but you
wouldn't have the shiny trim at the bottom of the window glass.

good work Frank. yea I had to go with the non-rubber trim but, given time I guess you could attach a bit of Ali to get the rightish look. dont worry, I wont knock points off thought!

Write a letter to Santa c/o The North Pole if you think that you've been good enough..

If you can find someone with a swaging machine I guess you could make up
an acceptable substitute from an ali strip.  Given the rarity of Peerless doors, and
the difficulty of removoving these from behind the window glass when the little
screws have rusted into the GRP, you probably won't find any at an autojumble
anytime soon.

Good Luck!

What I figured.  I loaned the one I have to someone I know at a fabrication shop and he is going to ponder an easy way to make a duplicate.   If he comes up with a way for a reasonable price I will pass on the contact.
