Just brought #155 home last weekend and spent the week going through the boxes and inspecting the parts, all of which need restoration or replacement. To say that the car is rough would be a compliment and a nice one at that. The car sat in a field outside Chicago from 1970 till 2005 exposed to all the elements. The person that bought it thought a TR6 frame would be better than the original so chopped the trunk area apart installing it. He lost, threw, or missplaced the seats, grill, drivers door glass and original commission plate along the way and lost interest as well and sold it to the PO I purchased it from. Its going to be a long road but..... I can't wait for the day I can fire it up and drive it to a show!
I am Steve in Colorado. Congratulations. I got #216 three weeks ago and am in the same process. It sat out in the Nevada desert for ten years. However, I think I have most every part. We should connect up and share the traumas we are both about to experience.

on the grill side of things...and I think your both way off this but hey, got to have a few shiny bits to keep your spirits up..... the guys at Newpro forge will help.
And Greg... I have the body off the Peerless at the moment with the chassis fully restored. If you are curious as to how things go together and would like a few photos, please just ask. I would think a good deal of fabrication would be needed on the firwall area to adapt the TR6 frame. You might be better off welding up a new Peerless frame. Once you see how simple they are you could probably knock out the basics in a couple weekends... I did mine with a small mig welder and an 18" bencktop brake. The only tricky parts are the front suspension mounts which I think you could reuse from the TR.
If you do make it by, you can take a look at the grill that newpro cast for me a couple years ago.

Steve and Greg - Welcome to the fold. I am in Southern California with a running Warwick GT and a Peeless GT undergoing a full restoration.

I have seen your picks of the frame restoration you have posted online. Love your shop. I do plan on building a new frame but I have a Tr4 I am doing and currently have the tub in bare metal. The hardest part of the frame will be getting the door hinge backing plates lined up properly. I am planning a trip to SF next fall for Triumph fest but nothing as far south as Thousand Oaks.
