Diff Frame Bushes

Hi All

We are looking to replace the silent block bushes on the diff A frame on our phase 2 as there is wear. Does anyone know who we could contact as a possible supplier for the bushes or if they were used on other cars at the time etc?

Many thanks

Will Ingleton

Hi Will,

Years ago i found them at a car fair and they came from a certain type of Jag so probably easy to get hold of.

Prior to the website update there was a page called whotsitoff that had a list of all kinds of parts and from what car they came from.

These bushes where also listed on there.

I can't find this page anymore.

I'm sure Nigel knows!

Hello there Will and Erik,

the details (from the "Wotsitoff!" page mentioned above by Erik) are:

"Differential carrier silent blocks, the type is C11821, used for rear leaf springs on all XK type Jaguars. (Information provided by Erik De Vries (Many Thanks Erik)".

The page can be accessed still via http://archive.org/ (obviously various dates are archived - I hit it lucky first try with a guess of 2007!).

The page I used to get the above information was:

http://web.archive.org/web/20070324071332/http://www.peerless-gt.co.uk/home.htm

(there's a menu in red on the left hand side of the page from which you'll need to select "Spares" and scroll down that page to the "Wotsitoff!" section).

Hope that helps!
Tom

Hi - i have an offline copy of the old whotsitoff page, and am in the process of preparing it to be available here in the forum. I cannot say why it is not on the webpage.

But to business.... Differential carrier silent blocks, the type is C11821, used for rear leaf springs on all XK type Jaguars.
