I've posted about #166 before, This car is literally 5 mins walk from my home and is the car that first alerted me to the existence of Peerless....
It's very original, though the interior is a bit shabby and the paint is not as shiny as the pics suggest. The paint is sun crazed in places, but overall it's in very nice condition indeed. Edward, the seller and an extremely nice and knowledgeable Brit, has put quite some money into it, and it runs well.
When I was looking at #118, I asked for the best price for a cash-now purchase given it was a car I'd seen, knew and could push home rather than pay for shipping. Back in January that $44k was firm, however so I went with #118 and am spending the difference in price on it. I am happy with no regrets. I rather thought he really wanted to keep it for his own use given he was clearly fond of it.
I did notice that instead of being tucked way at the back, it's now at the front so perhaps Edward is thinking its time to sell it.
There is one interesting thing about it. It's a 1959 but registered in California as 57. No idea how or why but it's significant because it makes it eligible for events such as Mille Miglia of California and it almost went in the 2010 run. It would have been a clincher for me, but those events are expensive and no guarantee of getting in. Fun though......
