Rear engine/gearbox mount

Can anyone confirm if the rear mount (silentbloc?) is the same as in a TR3? Specifically, it's the mount sitting under the overdrive, and in my case it's broken. I see the part at Victoria British: http://www.victoriabritish.com/icatalog/tc/t.aspx?Page=56 If this isn't correct, any idea what I can use? Thanks Dave. 118

This is one of those rubber components which seems to fall apart in no time at all.
I suspect that the "rubber" compound used doesn't much like oil, or heat, and especially both.  A coat of elastomer over the rubber (as used to seal outside cable joints) will help make it last.  The Navy used to do this on rubber shock mounts.
I also found that the uprated one (Revington and others) survived much longer that the year or so that a standard one seems to last.
It costs more, but how often do you want to replace it?

Thanks, Gents

I see the uprated mount at Revington and will look to go with that.   They quote online that it's a harder rubber than standard
