Hi all
The (hopefully) lucky new owner of #118 is me. Have been stalking Peerless's for a while and was down to a choice between the 3 cars currently for sale in the states. This seems the most interesting project anyway so here I am
How can I register for a name instead of Anonymous? Seems rude to be so unknown.
I live in Santa Monica, CA , am a relocated Brit, and see there is at least one other GT within close range (#213 in TO?)
Dave
good to hear from you and well done. as to the name change thing (hoping its not a gender thing too!) just open up your reply page, click on the end of the word Anonononymouous and clear it and replace with your own.
simples!
also see the contact page for details if you want to get in touch with me (registrar) and I can get you in touch with my west coast co-ordinator!
and the great unwashed will help you on the forum too!
Thanks, Nigel
I sent you and email directly.
I'm greatly looking forward to getting the car, and bringing it back to the best it can be. My intention is for it to be a weekend driver and in regular use.
By background I've had a number of great cars over the years. However I recently decided to switch gears and instead have a sensible daily driver and something unusual for the weekend. I looked at many things (e-types, Jensen convertible, Bristols, Alfas) but the Peerless stood out because i can use it to give to my son what my dad gave to me - a love of cars through working on them.
Please forgive my questions
Dave
I have bought the Peerless from Canada, chassis #198 which I bought off Ebay recently, I have not yet seen the car but my people tell me it is a decent car,I always liked Peerless from the time I raced against them in 1959, I published our Club mag that had a new Peerless on the cover with road report, I think it was the first one in the Midwest USA, someone should compile a list of chassis #s, Frank Opalka
((2nd attempt at a reply - first time the message board flagged it as spam? Perhaps the links I put in(???)...I'll not make them "clickable" this time and see whether it improves matters!))
By chance I came across that car on another site recently too.
This site:

has both the car illustrated in your link (apparently chassis #113 at 17,300 Euro) - more photos here:
Interesting. The grill looks like the one fitted to mine (from a Chevy by the first owner). What does everyone make of the odd wheel centers and non-standard bumpers? They're not only chrome but a quite-different shape
