further to my previous posting on this, can I request a serious show of hands for those interested in new front and rear screens. Both are possible with (invisible) heated elements and in laminated glass. The benefits of such specs should be obvious, given the lack of decent PW ventilation for screen demisting. Laminated glass is also safer than your old toughened screen.
Once I have an idea of numbers, I can come back to you with unit costs. I hopeful of them being sub £200 heated. My intention is to ensure the Register has at least half ownership of the new moulds.
Please pass this request on to any members not online ASAP.
Sounds good to me Gary - I'll definitely have a front screen and most likely a rear one too if they're heated.
My email address is my name as posted (no space though) @btinternet.com.
Great to hear that getting rear screens available again is progressing - many thanks for your efforts! Good to hear too that the Register will have at least some stake in the moulds.
Latest discussions suggest that the £200 price is realistic. I'll need a proper head count before the heated screens price can be confirmed.
International Peerless owners can rest assured, shipment worldwide is not an issue either.
Half ownership of the moulds and exclusive rights to screen production is also assured. If the Register wanted to buy the moulds outright in the future, that is also possible.
Gary, I would be very interested. My front screen is badly sand blasted and it would be fantastic to be able to demist both front and rear screens. I'm in Melbourne Australia - do you have any idea of shipping costs?
The new screens are definitely happening before the year is out so please register your interest ASAP.The more sign up, the less expensive they become.
To recap: Front laminated and rear toughened. Heated front and rear Front with a sun strip colour (heated or not)
To clarify, the sun-strip is optional, not compulsory for the front screen. Apologies for any confusion. Thanks Tom for highlighting the ambiguity of the previous post.
All the best, Gary

RE: New front and rear glass screens with optional heating elements
I was going to put me up on the list for a front screen a few days ago, when I read that the front windscreens will have a sun strip. Today I decided that I would show my interest in only the rear screen (as a spare) when I read that it's possible to get the front screen without the sun strip. This means that I'm very interested in both a rear and a front screen. My friend David, who's got a Phase 1, would also like to have a front screen. So, put us up for two front screens and one rear screen then (if its not to late)!
we seem to potenitally have a healthy first order which is very encouraging. I'll be able to advise very soon on final costs for the first batch customers.
Put me down for a front screen Do you relise the Morris Minor Rear Screen is the same mold as the Peerless Front Screen Cheers Jeffrey Leech Melbourne Australia
I'll stick my bold neck out and say categorically this is not true. Which year/model of Morris Minor are you referring to? What is its Argic code?
I also own a 1965 Morris Minor and the screens simply aren't wide enough unless you wish to add fibreglass to the bodywork... No offence Jeffrey, but let's not perpetuate this sought of internet misinformation and in doing so prevent owners from buying incorrect glass in the hope it will fit.
There are no other vehicles listed against the screens for a Peerless/Warwick. Fact. I've checked and triple-checked with the help of the best sources in the UK.
Feel free to correct me but in doing so name sources, specific cars and windscreen argic codes. All the best, Gary
