just in time for his years TR International Ive managed to break the differential of my Peerless. Upon dismantling I have found that the cross pin is broken, but also that the pinion wheel itself has sustained some damage to its teeth. Now I would be glad for some advice from the experts:
- Is there a source for spares, or has someone spare parts which he would be willing to sell?
- For possible remanufacture of the cross pin, what are its measures (especially its length which I cant determine due to it being broken)?
- Or, has somebody a complete 3HA Salisbury to sell?
That's pretty much the same state that my Peerless Diff was in.
Salisbury Transmission have moved from Pevensey, and were trading in London, but I've lost touch with them and the website seems to have folded. Last time I user them, they were't the easiest guys to get hold of.
There are some spare diffs around, but it may be difficult to get someone to sell you one!
I have a spare diff that i have as a spare for my Warwick. I bought it from Gareth recently - I believe it is ok but have not tested it.
If you are stuck and can not get yours fixed please let me know. I would hate to see a Peerless off the road if a part gathering dust i my garage could help.
Hi Joe, that's a very kind offer and I would be very interested. You can contact me under wolfgang.puritz@t-online.de I'll be also at the TR International next week in case you are coming there. If not, no problem, we'll arrange something.
Hi all, if you want to get your diff rebuilt try Dean. he was the guy in london but has now moved to France. this is not however a problem if you wish to post your diff as he also runs a transport business and so can move heavy items.
Wolfgang, I have spoken to Alan lately and he may have a spare diff if you need one so drop me an email if your still having problems, he might come to the international as well..if I nag him!
