41400GBP for an phase 2? - ok, looks realy good, but NO won`t be my car! the anouncement is declarated as an private sale and the seller says that he don`t know of another peerless in germany
yea know the car. it was in the Uk until 1997 when it was sold to a guy in Germany. when it left the UK it was in good condition but no race history/preperation.
don't think this one has made an appearance on the forum? Wonder if Nigel knows of its existance?

How's your car coming along? I saw it in 1995 when it was for sale (along with two Warwicks which were under tarpaulins!) somewhere north of Shrewsbury. It was advertised as having a new chassis but I funked it (luckily it seems!) when I saw the old chassis had been cut off at the bulkhead and only the bottom tubes replaced. My car is stripped so far I feel it might as well have a new chassis to save headaches down the line. I asked the guy selling your car about building a chassis and he said words to the effect of "all you need is a flat floor"!! Which is of course why you've had all that extra work to do on yours putting right his mistake of not having the chassis rise to the front and to the rear of the car. Mind you I think the chassis must have been pretty bad - I met the car's former owner (long before I went to view it) and he told me that old bed angle iron was excellent for repairing the chassis on Peerlesses - I thought he was joking until I met the seller.....he told me (in a horrified tone!) that the chassis was held together with old bed angle when he acquired the vehicle - hence the need for a new chassis!
I'm enjoying the comprehensive pictures of your rebuild greatly! Many thanks for them - really inspirational!
Things are going well, but too slow this winter. It was really cold in my garage and it is a hell of a job to get rid of the old paint. A real paint in the ass But the spring is almost here now, and I started to remove the body so I can finish the steering, cooling, fuel, wiring etc....... Then my plan is to get the boby back on the car and fix it for the next 50 years
The thing with the frame was a straight forward job for my friend. He is an engineer and a professional welder. As soon as I got the right drawings on the frame, he got right to it. Two weekends job, and it is like new.
My aim is to get the car on the road late 2011, and I am planning to go to Malvern in 2012.

ooooh yes this ones been doing the rounds for sometime...about 2 years I think. i wish someone would give it a good home, but I fear the saking price is unreasonable....again
