Windscreen

I was at the Historic Motorsport Show this weekend, still on the lookout for a windscreen I came accross a company called Uroglas, very helpful people. They quoted me £225 plus vat plus delivery. Has anybody ever dealt with them before?

This sounds like an interesting proposition. Do they manufacture windscreens themselves or are they rather dealers? I would be interested in one of those windscreens at these conditions.

They are dealers, they tell me that they get the Windscreen from Pilkington Glass.

Hello All,

What a coincidence ! I spoke to Uroglas only two days ago and there is a further 10% discount if you look at their website. Apparently if you tell them you are a member of the Peerless club you qualify for a 10% Club Member Discount ! So at last some competition for Highwaymen Pughs ! I could be wrong but I think the Peerless screens that Autoglass used to sell were Pilkington so the quality should be good.

Sounds good to me.

Nice one !

Very kind of you Nige, I'm almost tempted to buy another spare as they will only ever spiral upwards in price I wonder if we could get an order of 10 together between us ? I'll bet they would give us even further discount if we twisted their arm....

Hi Guys,

Just been routing through some of my Peerless/Warwick archives and found a letter from a good while ago.  The chap says that the front windscreen is the same as that fitted to the AC Greyhound and that was from the early Morris Oxfords ! Can anyone confirm that ?

ATB Jon.

I'll have a quick look at a Morris Oxford on the net if I can find one.

I think it's to big and I'm sure we've been here before....mind you thats what I think when I pull up outside me own house

if you look at the BLMC sticker in the corner and the tax disc and then you look at your own tax disc the hight is all wrong. infact if I had that many stickers on my screen I would'nt see out!

also if you look at the wiper blades I'm sure there longer than ours.

so all in all......bugger

Sports Car Illustrated dated October 1957, says it comes from a Morris Oxford, so we can all go around in circles again.
